MOVE PROCESS

Worldwide Move Management specialise in International, Cross Border and Long Distance Household Goods Moving

Worldwide Move Management will take care of your move from the moment you contact us through to the completion of your relocation. The information below details the move process on a step by step basis.

Upon contacting Worldwide Move Management, you will be introduced to a dedicated, experienced move manager. The move manager will take full responsibility for the planning and smooth operation of your relocation and they will personally assist you every step of the way.

Your move manager will book a time and date for the pre-move survey to be performed. The purpose of the survey is to calculate the volume or weight of the effects to be packed and moved. The survey is scheduled for your convenience and is generally carried out in-house by one of our vastly experienced consultants. Alternatively, a virtual survey will be scheduled for an equally qualified consultant to perform remotely, utilising a personal electronic device such as a tablet or cell phone.

When the result of the survey has been assessed and the related costs calculated, a detailed, written quotation will be sent. The quotation will detail all services discussed with the consultant at the time of survey and will be based on the volume or weight of your shipment. The quotation will be binding, as long as the volume or weight of the effects to be moved, as shown to our representative, is not exceeded and the criteria detailed in the quotation is adhered to. Obviously if the scope of work does change for any reason between the survey time and the actual move, the quotation will be amended either way accordingly. The move manager will follow up a few days after the quotation has been sent out to answer any questions, or clarify any other matters.

Upon acceptance of the quotation, your move manager will book your move and confirm the plan, timing and process of the move by email within one working day. The move manager will provide shipping and transit time details and confirm that all documentation, including customs information, is forwarded to you and then collected once completed. They will also ask you to complete and return the insurance valuation form so that a certificate of insurance can be issued.

From the moment the experienced packing crew enters your home, your move manager will be monitoring progress and ensuring that the process remains on schedule. Once the packing operation has been completed, your shipment will be loaded into a truck or a shipping container for transportation to your destination or warehouse, via road, sea or air.

At the time your shipment is delivered to your new home, the truck or container will be unloaded and your belongings will be placed in each area of the house, as directed before they are unpacked and set up. Finally, all waste materials will be removed for recycling.

When your move has been completed, we want to know how we performed! In addition to asking you to complete a brief satisfaction survey at the time of delivery, your move manager will get in touch shortly after you have moved in and ask for a more detailed evaluation of how your move went. It is very important to both parties that we do this so that we can continue to meet, and exceed, the high standard of service we strive to provide to our customers.

On international and cross border moves, your move manager will ensure that the customs clearance process is executed without any issues and they will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. In the unlikely event that there is an issue or problem with customs, or at any other time while your shipment is in transit, your move manager will be there to provide a solution.
